This page explains how SleepLingo handles data when you use the app and this website.
Updated: 6 October 2026
Who is responsible
The controller is Neuber Software GmbH, Kornblumenweg 26, 06118 Halle (Saale), Germany. Email: a@neuber.com.
Data on your device
Your learning progress, listening history, saved phrases, settings and downloaded content are stored on your device. SleepLingo does not require an account or offer cloud sync. App data is excluded from device backups. “Delete learning data” in Settings removes local learning data and usage events that have not yet been sent. It does not automatically remove events already sent to the server.
App versions
The following RevenueCat and group-counter sections describe the new app version. Earlier internal test versions transmitted a persistent random installation identifier and technical connection information. These earlier reports remain on the server until separately removed and are not linked to RevenueCat.
Usage events
To improve the app, we send group data: original and current language pairs, system language, first-open week, days since first open, broad first-open time of day, learning reason, app version, platform, paywall variant, broad subscription state, and content and error categories. The exact first-open date stays on your device. Our Cloudflare telemetry receives no permanent user, installation, device or advertising identifier, complete error text, purchase receipt or RevenueCat customer identifier. The worker stores group counters rather than individual event histories. Random identifiers for each individual report only prevent duplicate counting on retries; they cannot link different reports and are removed after at most eight days. At most 200 offline reports are kept locally for at most seven days.
Your IP address is technically visible in transit but is not stored in our telemetry database. Cloudflare provides reception and storage. Reports are internal. There is no cross-app advertising tracking.
Purchases and subscriptions
We use RevenueCat to verify purchases, unlock access, restore purchases and analyze subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase history using a random SDK customer identifier and group traits such as language choice, learning reason and first-open time of day. We do not send names, email addresses or advertising identifiers. The store handles payment and card data. We do not connect the RevenueCat customer identifier to Cloudflare usage statistics. Deleting learning data does not cancel a store subscription. Details: RevenueCat privacy policy.
Content and connection data
Audio, images and catalogs are delivered from audio.neoaudio.com. The delivery service necessarily receives connection data such as IP address, requested file and time. SleepLingo uses HTTPS for transfers.
This website
This website itself uses no analytics or advertising cookies and has no contact form. The hosting service receives connection data needed to serve pages. If you email us, we process your message and contact details to respond.
Purpose, retention and your rights
Content delivery and purchase verification provide the app; group counters support product analysis. New Cloudflare group counters are deleted after 365 days. Purchase data is retained as required to manage subscriptions and meet legal obligations. Local data remains until deletion or uninstallation. For access, correction, deletion or objections, email a@neuber.com. You may also contact a data protection authority.
