Data on your device

Your learning progress, listening history, saved phrases, settings and downloaded content are stored on your device. SleepLingo does not require an account or offer cloud sync. App data is excluded from device backups. “Delete learning data” in Settings removes local learning data and usage events that have not yet been sent. It does not automatically remove events already sent to the server.

Usage events

To improve the app, SleepLingo sends events such as lesson starts and completions, listening time, timer use, exercises and selected settings. Events include a random installation identifier, time, platform, app version and, where relevant, language pair, content identifier and event details. The identifier can link events from the same installation but does not directly identify you. We do not use advertising IDs or track you across other apps or websites. Events recorded offline are temporarily stored on the device and sent later.

The receiving server adds country and data-center location from connection data. Your IP address is technically visible during transmission but is not stored as a field in the events database. Events are processed in a Cloudflare database; reports are available internally only.

Content and connection data

Audio, images and catalogs are delivered from audio.neoaudio.com. The delivery service necessarily receives connection data such as IP address, requested file and time. SleepLingo uses HTTPS for transfers.

This website

This website itself uses no analytics or advertising cookies and has no contact form. The hosting service receives connection data needed to serve pages. If you email us, we process your message and contact details to respond.

Purpose, retention and your rights

Content delivery makes the app work; usage events help us analyze and improve it. Data on your device remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. There is currently no fixed deletion period for server-side usage events. To request access, correction or deletion, or to object to processing, email info@neoaudio.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority.
